Melcher-Dallas soon-to-be graduate Lilly Bennett will continue her track and field career at Central College in the spring of 2021. Bennett, who lost her senior season this spring, tells KNIA Sports after visiting with the coaching staff at Central, she says it was the place for her to continue her track and field career and further her education.

Bennett:
“When I went to visit them, it was a great visit with the coach, and I thought it might be a nice place for me. They’ve got some really good programs of what I want to go into, so it was a place I wanted to end up.”

Bennett looks to run in sprint races like the 100, 200 ,and 400 events. Bennett is planning to major in Exercise Science with a goal of being a physical therapist. In the meantime, Bennett will finish out her high school athletic career on the softball diamond for the Saints this summer.
