That was retired Marine General and current President of The Citadel, Glenn Walters dismissing The Citadel class of 2020 during a virtual commencement ceremony on May 9th. The 2020 class included Pleasantville native Booker Beier who has earned an Intelligence and Security Studies degree from The Citadel, one of just six United States senior military colleges. 

Nearly 600 members of the South Carolina Corp of Cadets accepted diplomas during The Citadel’s virtual commencement. In addition to graduating, about 30 percent of the graduates accepted commissions as U.S. Military officers in all branches of the service.
