Tuesday’s season opener for the Knoxville Baseball Squad is fast approaching. The Panthers have been working on a lot of things in the now more than a week and a half at practice and pitching is a big part of the work. First year Coach Turner Devore tells KRLS Sports it may be pitching by committee to start out the season due to not enough work in the offseason with the sports shutdown this spring.

Devore:
“We’re going to be using a lot more guys than we’ve used in the past. We’re starting to figure out what they have and how we pair them best to give us the best chance to win.”

Devore adds a lot of the work has been at developing off speed pitches and locating the strike-zone. The Panthers will get the season started on Tuesday at Bondurant-Farrar.
