With a shortened season, the Knoxville Baseball Squad has a little more urgency than normal this summer to get started and do well in the South Central Conference. The Panthers will only play conference squads one time, so there is no mulligan like in normal seasons when conference teams play each other three times. Senior Ben Olson tells KRLS Sports the South Central Conference championship is one of the top priorities for the team and winning the title is first and foremost.

Olson:
“We’re practicing hard to get those conference games in, we want to win those games really bad, we’re going to have our top pitchers on the mound, so it’s going to be good.”

Olson and the Panthers will take on Bondurant-Farrar on Tuesday to start the season off…the first conference game is Friday against E-B-F. That game against Bondurant has been changed. The game will now be played in Knoxville due to Bondurant’s field conditions.
