The Pella Community School District will continue distributing meals to all children in the community who need them through the beginning of the next school year.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says 10 grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches are available weekly, and with the help of other community volunteers, will continue until mid-to-late August.

For several weeks, the number of meal requests per week has averaged around 1,000. The Pella School District distributes 10 total meals per child (lunch and breakfast) every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Jefferson Intermediate. Families are encouraged to pre-register to help the district make enough meals for those in need.
