Haley Godfrey was bad news for Lamoni on Tuesday as the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad blasted the Demons 14-2, as Godfrey drove in four runs to lead Saints barrage. Godfrey went 3/4 with a home run in the game. Freshman BrieAnna Remster shined in her first career start in the circle, going five innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out five. Melcher-Dallas is 1-0 and travels to Orient-Macksburg today to battle East Union. The Saints Baseball Squad had a tough challenge in playing the defending Bluegrass Conference Champions in Lamoni and fell 12-0. The Saints were limited to just two hits, one by Tony Schneider and the other by Steven Krpan. Melcher-Dallas will host Southeast Warren this evening.
