The Indianola City Council approved the Des Moines Partnership Small Business Recovery Grants for 16 local businesses at their meeting Monday evening. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the grants ranged from $1,750 to $5,000, and were the product of several local entities coming together.

“The program was put together with the partnership of local businesses such as Peoples Bank and TruBank, as well as the Warren County Economic Development Corporation, and put together to help businesses who were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Greater Des Moines Partnership worked with a group called the Iowa Center for Economic Success who administered the program, they took in the applications, did all the rankings of the businesses that participated, and of the 27 businesses that applied 16 were recommended for awards.”
