After taking one on the chin from Twin Cedars on Thursday Melcher-Dallas and BrieAnna Remster came back on Saturday in game one of the Orient-Macksburg Invitational and did not allow a run against Nodaway Valley in a 6-0 win on Saturday. Remster allowed just six hits and struck out six. At the plate, Melcher-Dallas was led by Kinser Reed, who went 2/3 and three RBI. In game two, the Saints cruised by host Orient-Macksburg 14-2 as Melcher-Dallas rang up nine runs in the third inning to break the game open. Reed again added to her hit parade with two more hits and three RBI. BrieAnna Remster not only won the game in the circle but also helped her own cause by going 3/3 and two RBI. She dominated in the circle striking out seven and allowing just two hits in four innings of work. The Saints are back in action on Monday at East Union.
