pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville softball team got back on the right track in Wednesday evening’s home opener with a 15-3 win over Woodward-Granger. After falling down 1-0 after a half inning, the Trojans responded with five runs in the first to take a four-run lead. Pleasantville scored multiple runs in the next three innings to put the game away, as the run rule took effect after four innings, courtesy of the 12-run lead.

Josie Sowers and Amber McKinney each had three base hits to lead the way at the plate. Faith Vanderhart was the winning pitcher, giving up three base hits and no walks while striking out four batters. Pleasantville moves to 3-5 on the season, and returns to action this evening at home against Madrid. The Trojan baseball team will take on the Tigers as well. Both games are slated for a 7:00 p.m. first pitch.
