An Oskaloosa man has died after the cement transport truck he was driving lost control near New Sharon Thursday. According to the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, 51 year old Ray Fogle of Oskaloosa suffered life threatening injuries after the fully-loaded vehicle had the rear tire blow out while heading northbound near the 1500 block of Highway 63. The vehicle crossed the other lane of traffic and entered the ditch, and then rolled over. MercyOne Air Med responded, but Fogle died shortly after arriving at Mercy Hospital. New Sharon Police, New Sharon Fire and Rescue, Mahaska County Emergency Management, Oskaloosa Fire, and the Iowa State Patrol assisted the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office and Dispatch Center.
