Central College has introduced a new women’s golf head coach. Tabitha Kunst has been hired to lead the Dutch, replacing Tim Wilkinson, who is retiring from his post after 10 seasons.

The Duluth, Minn. native is moving closer to home, after spending a year as an assistant coach at Earlham College in Richmond, Ind. Kunst says her number one goal in her first season is to help maintain a winning culture, with a majority of next year’s team being newcomers.

“In my first year, I’m hoping to get to know all the players really well, building those relationships. We have five incoming freshmen and four returners, so making sure that we create a strong team culture, and show the freshman what we want Central Women’s Golf to be all about.”

Kunst is hoping to bring the Dutch back to the national tournament. Central has qualified for the meet in two of the last three seasons, excluding the cancelled 2020 season. Kunst officially begins her duties in July.
