The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad took care of Orient-Macksburg in four innings last night 12-0 as BrieAnna Remster threw a shutout. The Saints run-ruled the Bulldogs thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. The Saints got things moving in the first inning as Haley Godfrey drove in one when she doubled. She ended up 2/2 and two RBI, Kacey Enfield also went 2/2 and had three RBI. Remster got the win allowing just two hits and striking out four. On the baseball diamond, it was a different story as Melcher-Dallas fell to the Bulldogs 7-4. Ryan Krpan pitched six strong innings allowing two runs on three hits and seven strikeouts with a no-decision. Owen Suntken went 2/4 with an RBI and Logan Godfrey was 2/4 and one RBI. Melcher-Dallas Coach Pat Ferguson told KNIA Sports the loss falls on him for not keeping Krpan on the mound. The Saints fall to 0-9 on the season. Both Melcher-Dallas squads will host Sigourney tonight.
