The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will host a special Knoxville landlord informational meeting tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. that will be held via Zoom. All Knoxville landlords are invited to attend the virtual informational meeting. The meeting follows recent discussions from Knoxville City Council regarding the implementation of a potential rental inspection program in the city. Knoxville City Manager Aaon Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News the reason the council is considering the rental inspection program is to make sure residents in Knoxville have a safe place to live where they can trust that their friends and family along with themselves can know they are always safe in their home. Adams says the program is all about public safety being a priority.

The meeting will feature city staff explaining how the program will work and to answer any questions landlords may have. The chamber advises residents that the meeting is not the time to argue for or against the program, just a time to learn more before the July 6th city council meeting.
