The final home softball game of the 2020 season for Pella Christian will take place against their rivals from Pella High School for a single varsity game.

After the Eagles and Lady Dutch learned their playoff destinations, both will stay on the road — meaning tonight ends the short home season for P.C. The teams will meet again in one week as well — but the Eagles can clinch the season series with a win.

When the teams met in the opening week of 2020, the Eagles largely controlled game one in a 9-4 win and rallied to score six runs in innings six through eight to win 7-5 in the nightcap.

Pella Christian has won 17 of the 27 matchups against Pella since 2009. Opening pitch tonight from Eagle Lane is at 7:15, with pregame starting at 7 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS, with Andrew Schneider calling the action. Non-stop patriotic music will follow at the conclusion of the Pella vs. PC broadcast.
