The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad nearly let a six run lead slip away but held on for an 8-6 win over Seymour on Thursday. Seymour scored five runs in the failed comeback. Melcher-Dallas got the offense started when an error scored one run then Seymour evened things up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Melcher-Dallas pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning off a single from BrieAnna Remster. Melcher-Dallas put up three runs in the fourth inning led by home runs by Grace Overgaard and Riley Enfield. Remster got the win going the distance scattering eight hits and six runs while striking out six. Melcher-Dallas is now 10-5 on the season. The Saints baseball squad notched their first win of the season in a 13-8 victory over Seymour. Steven Krpan got the win going three innings giving up two runs on three hits and five strikeouts. Ryan Krpan went 3/5 at the plate while Steven Krpan helped his cause by getting two RBIs, and Owen Mann collected four RBIs.
