The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad made quick work of Diagonal on Friday in an 11-1 victory in five innings. The Saints’ Paeytn Anderson drove in four on three hits to lead the Saints hit parade. Anderson drove in runs on a single in the second, a double in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. BrieAnna Remster lpitched all five innings limiting the Maroons to just four hits and striking out six batters. The night after getting its first win of the season, the Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad could not make it back-to-back in a 20-8 loss to Ankeny Christian. The Saints had five hits and were walked nine times but could not fully take advantage of the baserunners. Ryan Krpan took the loss going two innings. Melcher-Dallas will travel to North Mahaska on Tuesday.
