The Indianola Softball Squad dropped three spots in the latest Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union class 5A rankings this week. The Indians come in a #12 after being ranked 9th last week. Indianola also announced this week the team’s season is on hold after a player tested positive for COVID-19. Indianola’s next scheduled game would have been July 18th at home against Dowling Catholic, but Dowling announced Wednesday that its season was over due to positive tests for COVID-19, so the Indians next game will be July 21at a site and opponent to be determined in the class 5A region three championship.
