Hot and humid conditions return for late week through the weekend. Highs by Saturday will be well into the 90s with heat indices around 105, which will continue into Sunday afternoon and evening. Residents are reminded to be aware of how to handle the heat and humidity by limiting outdoor exposure, drinking plenty of water, avoiding alcohol and wearing light loose fitting clothing. Do not leave pets or children in cars as the inside of vehicles will heat rapidly in the heat and sun.
