The influx of absentee ballots for the June primary election in Warren County did not pose any additional problems for the Warren County Auditor’s Office. Warren County Auditor Traci Vanderlinden tells KNIA News the number of absentee ballots was more than the same election held in 2016 by a large amount.

“There were no problems on our end, it went great. In fact it was the biggest turnout we have ever had for a primary. I went back and checked the 2016 primary, we had a total of 406 requested absentee ballots, and this election we had over 8,000 almost 9,000. I think it went very well.”

Vanderlinden also said she expects even greater participation in the general election this November, but is confident in her department’s ability to handle it.
