The PCM baseball team has officially concluded its 2020 campaign, a shortened season that featured several ups and downs.

The Mustangs started the season 3-3, alternating wins and losses to start the year. That was followed by a three-game skid, in which the Mustangs were shut out thrice.

After that, it was what is widely considered to be the most peculiar game of the season, a 22-12 win over Saydel. A strong win over North Polk was followed by a doubleheader split with ranked Gilbert and a road win over Greene County.

A 10-0 loss to Nevada ended the regular season. Despite losing in the opening round of the postseason, the Mustangs played on two days. PCM traveled to State Center last Saturday to take on South Hamilton, but it was suspended due to severe weather. It resumed on Monday, resulting in an 8-7 Hawk win.

PCM finished the season 7-9 overall and 7-7 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. Six seniors depart the program.
