The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, giving direction to city staff to work towards the removal of the Indian logo on the Indianola Police Department vehicles and equipment.

The council also gave approval for the city-wide cleanup week run by Waste Management to take place the week of August 30th.

The board approved the nominations of Lori Smith and Deb Richardson to the IMU Board of Trustees, approved two resolutions regarding sewer connection district fees, and a sign exemption request. The council also went into a study session after the regular meeting to review the City Streets Master Plan.
