The new Pella Police Chief was sworn in by Mayor Don DeWaard at the Pella City Council meeting Tuesday evening. Shane McSheehy is now serving the department as its new leader, four and a half months after the departure of previous Chief Robert Bokinsky. McSheehy is a 26 year veteran in law enforcement, most recently serving as a captain in Eustis, Florida.
