More summertime heat and humidity are on the way this weekend across south central Iowa. Afternoon high temperatures Friday through Sunday will approach the mid-90s, and heat index values will approach and top 100 degrees in the region. Those with outdoor plans are reminded to take precautions and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat, and to stay hydrated. The burst of heat and humidity will likely be short-lived, as more mild conditions return to the region by Monday. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for the latest weather information.
