The eighth spot on this year’s PCM top 10 list highlights one of the most dominant individual performances of the school year. On December 17th, the PCM basketball teams made their longest road trip of the season for a conference doubleheader at Greene County.

In the girls game, it was all Mustangs, especially in the first half. PCM outscored the Rams 23-5 in the first quarter and 16-4 in the second, largely driven by an scoring outburst from senior Regan Freland.

The Kirkwood Community College women’s basketball commit dropped 32 total points that night, and was an even 50 percent from the field on 15-30 shooting. Freland also collected 10 rebounds, and was two steals shy of a triple double with eight.

PCM went on to win that game 67-32, and finished 10-13 on the season. Freland and three other seniors departed the program.
