The Indianola Fire Department was recently awarded a grant from the State Fire Marshal’s Office for just over $2,000 to purchase two Surface Pro tablets and accessories. The equipment will be used to support specific fireworks safety education programming to the public; or
to purchase necessary enforcement, protection, or emergency response equipment related to the sale and use of consumer fireworks in Iowa. The grant was prepared and submitted by Firefighter/Paramedic Eric Wallace.
