Today we continue the top 10 countdown of the top moments of the 2019-20 school year with number six. The Simpson Storm football team lost a heartbreaking contest against the Spartans of Dubuque in 2018 on their home field, a game that would have clinched the American Rivers Conference championship with a win. Beginning their 2019 ARC schedule, the Storm had to travel to Dubuque and try to collect head coach Matt Jeter’s first win over the Spartans since he took over in 2016.

Simpson got out to an early 14-0 lead, only to see the Spartans tie the score at 14 apiece in the fourth quarter. The Storm answered with a Tanner Krueger to Joe McNally touchdown throw, then the defense held firm inside the redzone to earn the Storm’s first win against Dubuque since 2013.
