The Indianola City Council approved a full repeal of a three-hour parking limit on and around the downtown square at their most recent meeting, after approving a temporary suspension of enforcement of the policy in July. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News with the construction of the courthouse taking place, the parking restriction wasn’t fitting the needs of the businesses on the square, and the results came from a continued dialogue with local business owners, employees, and the Indianola Chamber of Commerce. Waller also said the parking restriction is still in place for overnight parking, and construction parking requires a permit process to take place.
