The South Central Conference looks to be just as formidable for the Knoxville Boys Cross Country Program than it has in the past. Last season it was a two team race between Davis County and Albia, and Knoxville Boys Head Coach Michael Splavec says those two will again be the favorites and Knoxville hopes to be a little closer to the top in 2020.
Splavec:
“Davis County and Albia are bringing back a lot of their team from last year and they competed really strong for the conference title. I’d like to think we have a lot of kids with experience, and maybe pick one or two of them off and steal a conference championship.”
Knoxville was third behind conference champion Albia and runner-up Davis County last season. The conference meet this season will be on October 13th at Lake Fisher hosted by Davis County.
