Pella Regional Health Center and Knoxville Hospital and Clinics released a joint statement Thursday morning.
The two hospitals announced that they will not be providing patients exemptions for wearing a mask at school. The decision was made based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Academy of Pediatrics.
The statement also recognized the efforts of local school districts in implementing mitigation strategies.
