Cases of COVID-19 continue to climb in Marion County, according to the latest information from the Iowa Department of Public Health. As of Monday evening, a total of 330 positive COVID-19 tests have been reported in Marion County since the outbreak began, and a rise of 52 new cases since Friday and 93 cases over the past week. Over the past two weeks, Marion County has reported a 14.9% positive test rate over total tests taken during that 14 day period, which is just shy of the 15% threshold in which school districts can request online only education if coupled with 10% absenteeism. As of Monday, Marion County Public Health had reported 244 individuals recovered from COVID-19, with no fatalities. Three individuals are currently hospitalized in Marion County with the virus.
