Weiler held its 20th Anniversary Celebration Saturday. As part of the event, the company awarded 20 $1,000 grants to non-profit organizations. Foundation Director Sharon Weiler says that the company wanted to help as many groups as possible to help celebrate the anniversary.

“We get a lot of requests for donations throughout the year, and this just seemed like a capstone for the 20th anniversary to acknowledge a lot of good going on in the Marion County area. We just wanted to help as many groups as we could. We got a lot of applicants and ended up doing not only the 20 $1,000 gifts, but 34 $500 grants as well. That way we could help more people, and we were just thrilled that there was so much interest.”

The celebration was originally to be open to the public, but became a private event to limit the number of people present. It was held in a large open space to allow for social distancing, and a member of each organization that received a grant was present.
