Running in weather that was at least 20 degrees cooler than last Monday’s Early Bird Invitational, the Knoxville Cross Country Squads cut some of their best times. Six girls finished in the top 25 while the boys had four in the top 25, plus some personal best times. The girls were led by Taylor Jones in 12th with a time of 24:09 while the boys were led over the line by Kaden McGill in tenth place in a time of 19:07. The Knoxville girls finished in third place while the boys were fourth. Melcher-Dallas was also at the same meet and while the Saints did not have enough runner to score for either boys or girls, J’Lyn Knutson finished third overall in the girls race in a time of 21:45. The boys were led by Owen Suntken in 47th with a time of 25:54. Knoxville will compete Saturday at the Central College Invitational while Melcher-Dallas will head to Wayne on Thursday.
