The Indianola City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening due to the Labor Day holiday. The council held public hearings on the Indianola Ultraviolet Disinfectant Device Acquisition Project and funding for the Indianola Meals Project, held a hearing on the city code regarding the seizure, impoundment, and disposition of vicious animals, and made the determination that a dog was vicious after an incident where a dog attacked a young girl. The council also approved a change to the City of Indianola Fire Code, the pre-application of the 2020 Iowa Great Places Grant, and an amendment to the city council TIF policy before going into closed session to discuss real estate and legal strategy.
