It isn’t every day when you get to face a former Big 10 team and host of a Heisman Trophy winner, but that’s exactly what the Simpson Storm football team got the privilege of doing in 2018 when they traveled to face the University of Chicago. It wasn’t the prettiest game offensively in the windy city, with the Storm heading into halftime up 14-0, but it was the defense that was the story of the day for the Storm as they held the Maroons to just 189 yards of total offense and recovered from a season opening loss against Bethel to start a historic season for the Storm.
Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson called the action that day, a 21-0 Simpson victory, and you can hear the whole thing starting this Saturday afternoon at 1:00 on KNIA.
