An Indianola woman who was arrested in 2016 for the death of an infant was released on parole earlier this week according to the Iowa Department of Corrections. Tori Bittner was convicted of a class C felony in 2018 after admitting to shaking that resulted in the death of 7-month-old Cody Seals, and was scheduled for release next year. According to the State Board of Parole, Bittner was granted parole on September 2nd and released Wednesday.
