pleasantville-3

The Trojans have had an easy ride so far, even pulling their starters late in the first couple games. Tonight’s home opener and Senior Night against the No. 8 in 1A Mount Ayr Raiders looks to be a four quarter battle and a must-see for football fans.

Both teams are 2-0 on the year and have scored no fewer than 34 points along the way. The Raiders utilize more of a one-sided offense, running the ball for around five times as much as they pass, while Pleasantville is around three times. The Raiders also only complete one-third of their passes, with Jaixen Frost and Payton Weehler splitting reps under center. Trojan QB Caylor Clark is at an impressive 64 percent to start his Senior year.

Head coach Mack Jorth’s squad is up for quite the task as they kick off the night’s festivities at 7:30. Hear select Trojan games on the KNIA/KRLS family of networks, and updates from tonight’s contest during Football Friday Night coverage beginning at 3:30 this afternoon.
