The City of Indianola will be replacing a severe weather warning siren in the vicinity of W 17th Ave next week. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the project has been allocated in the budget for this year already, and during the construction tests of the siren may be required to ensure it is functioning properly. Waller also said the city is responsible for the maintenance of the sirens, and Warren County Emergency Management is responsible for the activation of the sirens during severe weather events.
