Knoxville will head to Nevada tonight for week four of the high school football season. The Panthers are still dealing with injuries as a few players may not be available tonight. Keegan Cox will play after sitting out last week’s 42-7 loss to Pella. Knoxville will take on an improved Nevada club. The Cubs have a strong running game and have held teams to less than 140 yards on the ground per game this season, something that Knoxville wants to do well tonight. Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA Sports the key is to stop Nevada’s running game and get the Panthers running game in gear is paramount for tonight’s contest.

Kellar:
“Same as always, the turnover battle and keep the ball for long drives and get them to punt, five plays or less is always the goal. We also want to keep the ball out of that running back’s hands as much as possible.”

Knoxville’s defense will get tested tonight by a running game that has the second best running game in class 3A district seven, and the second rated offense in the state in 3A. You can hear the action on 95.3 KNIA starting with the pregame show at 6:30, kickoff slated for 7:30.
