The Eagles football team will try to keep their district success rolling on the long road to Mount Ayr this evening.

Pella Christian has picked up two district wins after falling to a pair of ranked Class 2A teams to start the 2020 season, with a Raiders team that has dominated their opponents for the exception of a slugfest loss to Pleasantville two weeks ago.

Eagles Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says they will have to try and stop a running attack from an offense that puts the ball on the ground nearly 80 percent of the time, and to see continued progress from a P.C. offense that was finally healthy and on the field all together for the first time against Interstate 35.

The historical series favors the Raiders 5-3, but Pella Christian has dominated Mount Ayr in the most recent matchups in 2016 and 2017. The Eagles will be trying to slow down a Raiders rushing attack averaging 267 rush yards per game and 6.4 yards per carry.

Pregame from Mount Ayr begins at 6:30 on 92.1 KRLS, with Andrew Schneider and J.D. Boer calling the action from deep in south central Iowa.
