melcher-dallas-7

While the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad is not playing its most bitter arch rival this season, the Saints are playing another close in proximity rival that Saints squads have enjoyed playing over the years in all sports. Southeast Warren comes to Saints Field to engage Melcher-Dallas on the gridiron tonight. The Warhawks were trounced last week by Martensdale-St. Mary’s 67-34 while Melcher-Dallas drubbed Seymour for homecoming 61-20 to gain its first win of the season. Coach Pat Ferguson knows the kids will be familiar with each other on both sides of the field due to playing with and against each other in multiple sports.

Ferguson:
“They have friends that grew up over there, they have family that live over in SE Warren. It is a big game, I expect a big crowd from both sides, and a lot of people there. They are a very good football team.”

Southeast Warren is 3-1 on the season while Melcher-Dallas is 1-3. Kick off is set for 7:00.
