An Indianola man has been charged with Insurance Fraud and Theft according to the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau. Dwight Jay Roberts, age 60 of Indianola, has been charged with one count of Insurance Fraud – Presenting False Information and one count of Theft 2nd Degree, both class D felonies. According to the criminal complaints, the charges against Roberts stem from an investigation which began in July of 2019, where Roberts made false statements in connection with a disability insurance claim and received benefits due to the false statements. Roberts was charged and released with a promise to appear in court.
