Knoxville’s Norah Pearson won the South Central Conference girls individual championship at the conference cross country meet in Bloomfield on Tuesday. Pearson’s time of 19:17 was 2:28 seconds better than the runner-up. The girls as a team finished fourth with 82 points, just six points behind third place Albia. On the boys side, Knoxville was third behind winner Albia and runner-up Davis County. Seth Walraven earned all-conference with a third place finish in a time of 18:11. Peter Picard was 15th in 19:37 and Max Purvis was 17th in a time of 19:44. Knoxville will now prepare for the state qualifying meet at a site to be determined.
