Warren County residents who wish to dispose of expired or unused prescription medications can drop them off safely in several “take back kiosks” throughout the area. There are three drop off boxes in the Indianola area, including the Indianola Police Department, Medicap Pharmacy, and the Hy-Vee Pharmacy, with other Warren County locations including the Carlisle Police Department and the Medicap Pharmacy in Norwalk. The Indianola Police Department also has a permanent drug drop off receptacle. National Drug Take Back day is scheduled for October 24th.
