pleasantville-3

The Trojans didn’t end the regular season the way they had hoped as they now have a six game losing streak to close out the year. They finish the year 9-12 after losing to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17).

It certainly wasn’t what they wanted, but their heads have been held high as they enter the postseason next week. Thursday was perhaps the last time the Trojan Seniors will play a game in their home building.

Those Seniors include Breanna Benge, Amber McKinney, Lauren Cook, and Cheyene Pagel. They will carry the memories and experiences they had for a long time.

Head Coach Joel Allman, who arrived when they were just sophomores, thinks so much of this group.

“When I came in three years ago, I felt like the enthusiasm for the program was a little bit down, and those four Seniors have really helped build that up tremendously. I’m so thankful that I got to coach them. I’m just so thankful just the people that they are and the positive impact that they’ve had on Pleasantville volleyball.”

To open up the postseason, the Trojans will visit Pella Christian on Wednesday with the game to start at 7:00.
