pleasantville-3

As the Trojans prepare for their playoff matchup following a 9-12 regular season, four of their own will be playing in their final postseason for Pleasantville.

Those four Seniors are Breanna Benge, Cheyene Pagel, Amber McKinney, and Lauren Cook. Those four have been together for years, both on and off the court, and are trying to have one last ride before their careers come to a close.

All four were recognized for their efforts during Senior Night last month, but all played a part in their leadership as many younger players saw extended playing time this season.

It all starts with Benge, the libero, who led the team with 307 service attempts, succeeding on over 90 percent of them, as well as leading her squad with 51 aces and a whopping 242 digs. Head Coach Joel Allman always mentioned her first among the group when it comes to outstanding performances.

McKinney and Cook were second and third in digs with 153 and 121 respectively. Pagel led the four Seniors in blocks, netting three on the year in relatively limited action.

They will look to keep their season going this Wednesday as they travel to Pella Christian to open up the 2020 playoffs.
