For the second straight season, Norah Pearson will represent Knoxville at the Class 3A State Cross Country Meet. Pearson is looking forward to this year’s meet in a slightly different point of view. Last season, she tells KRLS Sports, as a freshman there were a few wide-eyed moments, but she was able to settle down at race-time to finish in fifth place and earn All-State. This year she says she knows what to expect but still looks forward to all of the unknowns next weekend will bring.

Pearson:
“Last year I just went into it as a freshman not knowing what to expect and the first time at a big meet. I think it’s good to keep that same outlook not knowing what to expect and I was ranked lower than what I finished so it’s just keeping your eyes on the race and running by yourself.”

Pearson will be joined by Seth Walraven from the Panthers boys squad at the State Cross Country Meet on Friday October 30th at Fort Dodge.
