Abnormally dry conditions continue across most of south central Iowa.

According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor Report, moderate drought continues in portions of Warren, Polk, Jasper, and Mahaska Counties. Most of this week’s rain fell after the Tuesday morning cutoff, and won’t be factored in until next week’s report.

More than 80 percent of Iowa was rated as at least abnormally dry, with most of the state west of I-35 in severe drought or worse.
