Leaning on their strong defense, Pella pushed themselves into the state football playoffs for the 14th consecutive season with a 21-7 win over Winterset heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Pella’s stout defense found a fumble recovery and created a short field to set up scores at the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters respectively, which would prove critical, as the Huskies opened the 2nd half with an impressive 88 yard drive.

Nick DeJong led the Dutch with 106 yards and a rushing touchdown, Josh Warner caught a TD pass, recovered a fumble, and had an interception, and Caden Riggen had a tackle for loss and a sack.

Pella is 6-2 and awaits their round three destination.
