Knoxville Cross Country Runner Seth Walraven will be busy this next week. He qualified for the class 3A State Cross Country Meet at Wednesday’s State Qualifier in Pella finishing 14th. This will be Walraven’s first state meet appearance and he says he has a lot of questions, but has already done a little research on the Fort Dodge course. Walraven’s goal for Friday is to set a new personal record, which he thinks is attainable.

Walraven:
“From what I hear, it’s a pretty fast course. My goal is to PR, which I think can happen. I just have to look up times and see where I should be pacing.”

Walraven will be joined by girls runner Norah Pearson at Friday’s State Meet. The two will run Friday afternoon at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge. The 3A girls will run at 3:30 while the boys run at four.
