indianola-3

The Indianola girls swimming team will have its last regular season meet of the season Tuesday, a rare occasion where the Indians have a meet in between the Little Hawkeye Conference meet and the regional competition to qualify for state. Head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA News the Indians will use this last meet to work on their fundamentals, the last bit of conditioning to get ready for the upcoming regional competition, and getting their heads in the game.

“There is no question we’ve been working hard, and there is no question the girls are in shape. But if you don’t have the right mindset for the postseason, the other things don’t matter. You need all of them like a three-legged stool. If one of those things is short, then the stool doesn’t stand.”

The meet will take place at Boone High School.
